So my amplifier seems to be over heating. For now i just dropped my back seat down and run my AC and its okay for now. Its a Kenwood KAC-729S (yeah i know kenwood amps suck, it was free). I have 2 computer fans, i wanted to run set them up on both sides of the amp to move air across it to keep it cool. Im wondering if i can just get power off of the amp's power wire, the remote wire or do i need to run a new wire? The fans are both 12v.

We had a similar problem in my friends car...
Solved it with one 120mm pc fan...wired paralel with the 12v supply for the amp...

I have 2 60mm fans, so its safe to power them off of the amps power line? Im going to set them up fan -> amp fan -> so theres a constant air flow over the amp.

I had this old dude look at it. The sub connections to the amp were bridged so its more powerful, so we unbridged them and hooked them up normal and its good now. Not as powerful but its better than the thing overheating.
