need help, thinking of making a scooter

hey i am in auto shop, and i dont have a car to work on so i was thinking of making a deck, but the only thing is it would have to be steel because all we have is a wire fed welder, i was thinking of just a flat deck, with two small square tubes welded to the side, my only problem is how to make the head tube, since razors are aluminum.
any help would be awsome

yeah, i think il go with the razor idea...im probably gona keep the first couple because, this is going to be my first time welding....but with a teacher helping.
im gona make it insanely beefy...the only problem is that my fork is sooo skimpy...and im gona powder coat it after

i know, i would love to homemake everything but the wheels, and make a gnar scooter for vert. so i have my light scooter for street. i want to make everything, except for the head set, even the bars and forks.

A steel deck would never work out. It would be way to heavy. But you could try for fun.
The headtube size is the same size as a 1 1/8 bike headset. If a 1 1/8 headset fits in the headtube, you did it right.

ok, well i was reading aluminum prices, and found out we have a tank of mig, soooo
i am soon to buy the materials... muhahaha.. any suggestions so i make this thing bulletproof???

well i think i found out that im gona do,
im gona take the neck off the folding mech
reinforce the forks with some extra bar
main deck- one 2x1/4 aluminum flat bar thats 2feet long
with two 3/4x3/4 runners going along the bottom

one 1 3/4x1/34 bar to fit the exitsting neck/headset thing in, and bolt and weld it
