need help with camera

my friend is starting to get into like filming and he wants to get this cam
Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi Digital SLR what do u guys think ?

Its a great camera for pictures, but your friend obviously doesent know enough if he thinks that has video..., also there's many controls and stuff to figure out, I would recomend a cheaper, easier camera to operate, like the kodak zi8
