yea ive checked that out quite a few times and even though im not a newb at scooters ( ben riding them since they first came out) im actually having a hard time figuring out what all those mods are for and what they do. sounds kinda dumb but yea.. im clueless right now.

Even though you ride a new a model, it can be ridable. You need to bolt the folding mech. You can find that in the bible.

Edit: But in a new a foldy, you can only use 2 bolts unless you drill a third. I was forced to ride a new A for a months and it wasn't THAT bad with 2 bolts, The headtube would still move if I lent back too much

yea ive been contemplating drilling a third hole and putting a bolt there but i dont have access to a drill yet and im still trying to figure out if it will even work or not. also im looking into buying a pro or an original A model.

it does work my friend has an new a and i bolted his mech, but in a way it's way better to get a pro, your a will snap sonn

o ok, cuz its really irratating having the handle bars leaning like all un godly towards you, like pretty much up against your knees.

You should not have to get used to the way New As bars will lean into your body, due to the Piece of Shit folding system. There are ways to lock those folding systems, but its still not worth it half the time seeing as the deck will most likely snap.

Both of you El Russo, and FaShow.. Really jes try focusing on getting a Pro Model, or a Old A Model, And not wasting so much time trying to lock up the New A's. When you get a Pro or Old A model, You will notice easily how to lock the Folding system...and if not, then use the Threads in the forum that tell how.

I would, but I do not know where to get old A's and you can't get pros in the shops near me, PLUS I dont have the money. and I cannot buy off the internet.

as far as doing the folding mech lock mod is it easy to take it apart to do the mod? cuz im having the hardest time trying to figure out how to take mine apart but then again im riding the newer A's so yea.

I have a new A, you know how there is the latch and the 2 bolts with little balck thins at the ends? basically undo the latch and unscrew it then using a screwdriver pry off the black parts then if the bolts dont come out, put your screwdriver on it and hit it a few times... throw away EVERYTHING from inside it, springs and whatever then just chuck in your bolts and tighten. Thats it really...

I cant order off the net cause I dont have a credit card and i'm just not allowed to

ooo, well thats extremely homosexual, cuz around here they have a couple of the new A's at the local wally world and target. but as for the originals and the pro i gotta order off the net.

new a's are fucked up, sometimes the top bolt wont stay in and the hole in the bottom of the head tube (the thing that connects the folding mech to the handle bars) is wider than the bolt, so no matter how tight you make it, theres room for it to move back and forth. you really would be better off finding a better scooter, because even after you do lock it and it stops moving, odds are it will break soon after
