Negative Scanners

Whats exactly do these do? Can you just develop negatives, scan them with the scanner to the computer and just enlarge and invert the photos on your computer? And if so are there separate ones for black&w/color? I should probably just google it but im a bum.

i saw them and wondered the same thing i think it is just so you develop and scan your negatives if you want them. unless your really into negatives i dont think id buy one

film scanner images are 3249872389476890234x sharper, cleaner and more color accurate than scanning a print. prints are naturally much softer than film and film scanners scan at higher res than consumer scanners. b+w / color negative / color slide, makes no difference. its all scanned the same.

no point in getting a film scanner unless youre serious about publishing your images.

Im not gonna buy one, im gonna find out if my school has them though and im pretty sure they do. Ill probably take more scoot photos if i can use one.

I dont think ill need to, i think we have the scanners at my school, but if i dont ill let you know. I doubt shipping would be more than an envelope and a stamp haha.

film scanners have the right tools to make the colors normal. if you scan in a piece of negative film and invert the colors, they will still have the orange tint in them
