New camera confusion

So ive been using the same camera for a good amount of time now and am planing on getting a new one.

Here is my current camera (sony handycam dcr-sr42)

And here is my current lense i am also using (Opteka OPT-SC37FE Platinum Series 0.3X HD Ultra Fisheye Lens).

I am looking for a good camera that films in HD and is in the $600-$750 price range.

Both mini-dv and hardrive camera suggestions would be appreciated.

Canon HV30

This little guy puts out an amazing image. He also has a previous model, the HV20, and a newer model, the HV40. If you wanna go HD, this is the camera to buy.

Canon HF200

Features:
-Dual flash memory recording
-HD (1080)
-CMOS sensor
-Some manual control
-24P/30P

Pretty much the flash version of the HV30. Records to SD cards. Solid camera

The HV30 might be a possibility. Will it work well with Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9? Also does it need a firewire to transfer the clips?
