New Computer Help

Alright, so I really need a new computer. My mac i have right now is very old, and i really need an upgrade. For many years I've wanted a macbook pro, but I just don't have the money for it. So now I'm deciding on getting a pc. I will be using this pc mostly for editing, and I store a lot of video files on my computer. I need something with a lot of hard drive space, and it also has to be fast when editing. I'm looking to pay around $600.
Also, if anyone could recommend some good anti-virus software, that'd be nice.
thanks!

if you want a fast editing pc, get alot of GPU and RAM, and a good anti virus, that is also free would be Avast

you could upgrade your current mac if you wanted. I upgraded my 2011 imac to 8gbs of ram and this thing is lightning fast. I can run photoshop/final cut/chrome/spotify/lightroom all at the same time with absolutely no lag.

i was actually looking into that hp. haha
yeah, i would rather get a mac, but I just can't afford it.
would it really make a difference if i were to get a $700 pc, instead of a $600?

From what i was looking at yea. All of the 700$ ones had a tb hard drive and 8 gigs of ram which is perfect in my opinion

if you want a lot of hardrive space i would just get an external hd so it doesnt clog up your computer thats what i do with my video stuff at least

When you get your new PC just get AVG and a zonealarm firewall.

I'm trying to decide if i should buy an external 500gb making a 1tb of memory total for my computer. Feel like i wouldn't use it much but i could put all my photos/music/videos on it to keep my computer fast. I have like 10gb of raw footage just chillin on my computer atm

i have a 1tb external but still have a bad amount of video on my computer its a bad habit i guess but it is nice cause all my video stuff is on like a tiny portable thing i can just put in camera bag if needed and it keeps my computer from getting really slow
