yeah i know, im just saying its awesome as a gadget. no serious filmer would get it, but to have a 3ccd camcorder that fits in the palm of your hand is pretty cool.
and flash drive camcorders are slowly getting better, but as of now theyre still not worth it. mini dv's def the way to go, as everyone else said

solid state memory(memory cards)
- fails sometimes due to buffer loads

- even smaller than tapes and hard drives sometimes.
+ reusable
- can get too pricey
+ data transfer speeds are quick
dvds
+ cheap media
- pain in the ass to edit with
- not compatible with alot of DVD players
- discs are prone to scratches and even chips.
conclusion is that really no matter what you choose there are always problems that you might run into. personally myself, i prefer tape because i know that i know if i need some clips, i can pop the tape in and select what i want.
