Could be a possibility. But we're assuming that most riders will want their own bars anyways. It's almost inevitable that most riders (on these forums at least) that get an Elite will customize it to make it their own. We're looking to provide an affordable complete and some competition for other mass OEM scooter companies like the RUP or Micro products.

These probably won't stand up to the same abuse that a Lucky, Phoenix, etc. scooter could (although there is a strong possibility that they might) but at the same time...our prices would be nowhere near theirs either.

Nextsport, although Tony is relaying it in a stupid way, take it as suggestions. Instead of threaded fork and headset, make 'em threadless and the bars HIC. In essence it's just changing a tube size on the bars.

Thank you Rob. We've discussed it previously with some of our testers and it's not out of the question but again we're aiming for the entry level freestyle rider (think RUP, Micro, etc.) and not to steal away from the aftermarket business as we wont be releasing any components in the near future.

As for the Grit comments, Grit uses our manufacturer. But as you can tell we're doing our due diligence to improve on what's already been co-developed and bring something BETTER to the market. For a complete there's not a whole lot you can change from what's out there and stay within a competitive price range- but we're doing what we can.

What advantages does an HIC provide over a properly spec'ed wall thickness for threaded forks? The Elite has a starnut in the bars along with an ICS and a threaded fork. We've only tested a few but haven't had any stems break off or wear inefficiently.

noo NOOOnooo do not put an ICS in your scooters lol, that's overkill.. the threaded nut really does enough lol.

I guess if the wall thickness is as thick as your NX forks (ridiculously beastly) then it should be alrighty, however heavier than a threadless fork with less material needed to achieve the similar strength

total honesty the pic of the scooter you are showing us is identical to a grit excluding wheels, they have ics with a threaded fork and they make threadless so grab some of them from the factory instead, btw seen the forks break in a week at the tube, making it threadless will strengthen the weak point so no one will break them

Like we mentioned, Grit uses our manufacturer and are being somewhat co-developed at this point. But to Billie's point what were the weak points with the Grit scooter from YOUR experience? What changes would you make after riding the original Grit scooters?

Confirmed for v3's of these protos (which should have been on these versions but didn't get finished:

- threadless ICS fork
- flex brake

And to make it clear since some of you seemed underwhelmed, Grits were never released in the US and because they were readily available to us it made sense to redevelop them to meet our standards to make available here. HENCE, why we brought these out to test FIRST and make improvements. All in all, we'll let the testers vouch for strength and outcome of the Elite.
