anyone ever think about using bmx stem locks instead of starnuts for compression

i dont really understand how this works??? is it like from the bottom of the fork to the top with a shim ???

its for bmx forks goes one end rests on top of the stem and the other is on the bottom of the fork compressing it lol

at michael: i guess so i run scs and i use the ics bolt and put a starnut on the topcap to compress it cuz im lazy lol it works perfect tho
