I think that with a big enough wrench, its possible.

EDIT: i just looked at the blunt IHC. essentially the same concept without the expanding shim. Disappointing to hear that IHC sucks though /:

It's really just too impractical, and who has a problem with using a clamp? Trust me, it's always going to come loose. There just isn't enough room in there to get you enough pressure to keep the bars from slipping.

well I will have to rethink my designs and come up with something more promising. But, you have to admit that a clampless scooter would be pretty cool, right? If there was such a compression, i bet it'd be trendy as fuq. Clampless lyfe

welded in bar ends would be cool.

built in bar ends were on torn bars.

I've seen a clampless scooter made by (i think) one of the Bartocheka or guys or whatever the spelling was. it looked really cool and apparently worked, it used like a really long ics bolt i think going into the top of the bar and then tightning at a hole in the top. not 100% sure how it worked but it did, saw the diagram and photo ages ago though

Actually it was not made by Bartek Pachota, he rode it for awhile and then the fork bent. What they did was take a fork and make the fork tube really long so that it went almost to the top of the bars but not quite and then they put a topcap and bolt through the hole of some proto slayers and tightened it down. It looked really clean but it wasn't worth it. He said it was heavy and the metal used was really crappy. I think that we should do away with hic and scs because they are just complication compressing a headset. ICS worked just fine all the years when proto first came out with it. Now all of a sudden these moronic kids don't know how to tighten a bolt properly. I think ICS is the best compression...The only reason I like scs is because it raises your bars. bam.

wow that sounds really unnecessary but it prolly looked great. Im pretty sure that nobody has thought of what im trying to do... i really hope it works

And yeah the only real reason i got scs was to raise my bars.

y does nobody like my ideas? :c

Yeah no offense dude but changing colours seemes incredibly childish and unnecessary. Also the back wheel warms up when you apply the brake so it would often be red while the front wheel would be blue, which would look stupid. Grips would also warm up due to the body heat from your hands, which would be lame.

they already make color changing grips.

How about a wax company? A few friends and I thought of the idea to make wax and put it into a deodorant stick for easy wax on the go. We have a name and logo ideas made, would this be a pretty good idea? It can mainly be for scooters but wax for anyone (skate, bmx, inline skates, etc).
