I've been thinking it's like a combination of both posts and likes. I was a gold right before I became mod, and my like count is super high, but my post count isn't the highest. So I don't really get it either. Possibly the trophy points are thrown into the mix too? Maybe join date affects it? I kind of the ranks, but they're throwing me off haha.
