new scooter

I have designed a new scooter deck that i am going to make hopefully in jan. i took ideas from the pro model and old a's.

i still have to firgure out the brake

i tried to design a different folding mech that will hold the headset better and stop making the hole in the head set bigger. i no it looks funny im still trying to firgure out the size

so i added two back plates that will fit snuggly up against the head set and there a spot for a bolt to go through any size smaller than 3/8 to change how tight it is. then on the front plate theres holes that will have threads and u screw the bolts in tight so both plates act like a clamp hopefuly lowering the factor of the holes getting bigger

That design would need a lot of heavy machining so that's not a cheap work for that design. Besides, dropouts should at least be extended so it won't snap or else it would snap easier than a pro-model.

if i did sell them which would be like in spring i wouldnt be able to produce alot just cause itd take a while so ill try to make some then ill annouce with pics and a price if they go ill make more. ill also post more pics of the design as people give more addvice i did that all in one day so its not perfect yet

That's exactly an old A and an old B combined, the middle is an old A with the bottom covered and the dropouts are that of an old B except for they open outward. If the triangle stuff went all the way to the end of the dropouts that would make sense, and it'd be loads stronger too.

The folding mech is a bad idea because with those plates the rails wouldn't be able to squeeze together against the headtube.

i no its the same as and old a and a b combine that was the point
ill try make the sides do all the way to the end of the dropout

and what if on the back plate a machine a indent that they fit tightly in but will be short so the rails can still squeeze

There is no way you could get a profile like that anywhere, so this design is not practical in any way. And, no, we don't need no folding mechanism. Also it's unnecessary to employ construction features from existing scooters as they were designed with other purpose in mind. Be open minded and think of something completely new and practical.

I agree. There is a lot of work that goes into something like that. How are you going to make the actual? Welding is very expensive too so you would have to know how to weld, ect.
I love the design, but I think that would cost too much to fabricate and produce, it would cost more than a whole promodel with mods.
