NEW Torn Scooters Handlebars

rob they come 18x21 and 22x24. and the idea of HIC is just an idea, we haven't tested or prototyped yet. we will make sure that if we do come out with an HIC aluminum handlebar, it will be up to par with the rest of out parts.
but remember that all clamps are aluminum, even ones that don't strip very easily.

Riley: the integrated clamp thing wouldn't work out too well... I highly suggest making a clamp that fits HIC oversized aluminum bars (shouldn't be any harder than making a clamp with a bigger inner/outer diameter) that you can just include with the bars as a package deal.

$95 for the aluminum HIC bars + the necessary clamp to run them sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

I would like to point out that i had this sig before either of you had your creeper sigs.

I would like to point out that nobody cares.

Also, Riley, I think my idea of making the HIC Aluminum bars clamp would be ideal.

Integrated clamps can and will strip, and then what? buy new bars? get them professionally rethreaded? make some bootleg home rig for them yourself? all of that is either way too time consuming, or too costly.

there are regular clamps (Razor) and oversized clamps (District, ZG, Lucky, etc.), so why can't there be Alu-HIC clamps? they would be incredibly easy to make, and it would pave the way for other companies to actually start producing Aluminum HIC bars.

clamps might just be possibly the cheapest scooter part to ever produce/manufacture, and this is something that has never been done before... why aren't you jumping on this opportunity man? :]

Riley, realize that you can be the man behind the production of the first Alu-HIC clamp. not Phoenix. not Lucky. YOU. you deserve to get your name out there... do it before someone else gets the chance to take the fame and credit for it.

no disrespect meant at all, but screw those standard sized bars you're making... it's nothing 3483248934 companies haven't done already.

your gussett design for your bars are beautiful, don't hold yourself back by producing the same shit almost every other company has. do something progressive. do something revolutionary.

I guarantee that if you made oversized HIC Aluminum bars with the clamp to fit/match, they would sell like absolute wild fire... and before you know it, all of the popular companies will be following in your footsteps, and you can sit back and take pride knowing you're the one that started it all :D

just please take my thoughts/opinions into consideration... it's JUST as easy as making normal bars/clamps, and it's an incredibly easy way for you to get your name/company out there without really doing anything out of the ordinary.

please trust me on this man.

devon thats freakin' artwork right there man :)
but yeah I love the idea, and these bars would be a sure-hit if you do what devon suggests! :D

I'm sure if he's gonna do an integrated clamp it's going to use a bolt/nut that way you can just cut it off if/when anything strips, and even if the bars strip you just bolt a bolt through the integrated clamp system and tighten down a nut. I've talked to him a lot about his products before.

Also, why would he make an overOVERsized clamp when he's the only company producing bars that big.. I mean, it's not gonna be cheap and I doubt they'd sell well. But hey, you never know.

Integrated clamps really are not a good idea, they put a very high amount of stress on the bars. Even steel bars with integrated clamps, can split up from the bottom of the tubing, because of the tensions from the tube pulling on itself, instead of compressing on itself.
I don't want to imagine what it would be like for aluminum. Anyway, best thing to do is to make some, test them, and see how it goes.

scs > hic. seriously, no slit, no problems.
these looks amazing, any idea how much they weigh?
once i get them back from heat treating i'll let you know the exact wieght of both sizes, they're pretty light. they're lighter than standard chromoly T bars, like inwards or sky high. and theyre wayyy lighter than the heavy ones like crowbars.

but they don't feel like a toy like districts... they're in between. :)
