I wish YAK made their ORIGINAL wheels again... They could've went with the "OG brand image" instead of all the new things they've made >_<

Is there even a representive from Yak that talks to riders about what they want?

Just spoke to someone from YAK:

Ben Grantham: Why don't you sponsor scooter riders? YAK has been part of the scooter industry for at least 7 years now and it's one of the only companies that doesn't have a Team?

Yak Wheels Yak Research: Ben, you might notice that YAKs are about the least expensive quality wheel on the market. We keep prices low by keeping expenses low, meaning no sponsorships. Sorry, but thanks for asking.

Ben Grantham: This surprises me since promotion at competitions and events is/would be highly beneficial to the brand. Role-model Scooter Riders who are seen promoting the brand influences people to buy the product, don't you think?

Yak Wheels Yak Research: We support most competitions both in the U.S. and abroad with lots of prizes and stickers, so we're not entirely scrooges.

Ben Grantham: For a lot of companies that's only the foundation of awareness. They know that an effective way of making the user group aware of the product is through observation/demonstration at skateparks. It's how they "step up".

People associate Ryan Williams/Coedie Donovan with MaddGear.
People associate John Radtke with Razor, and in the UK people associate myself with Razor.
At one point Eagle Sport were sponsoring over 40 of some of the best scooter riders from around the world (More than just a team) Which is one of the reasons why they're so successful
