WOW, you guys are too much... I will break it down for you...
$30 entry per rider less the $10 regular all day Newport Skate Park entry fee that goes to them = $20 per rider to ECX.
$20 x lets say 20 riders (thats what I am expecting since its a week away and no one has signed up yet) = $400
$400
- $200 Cash 1st Place
- $100 Cash 2nd Place
- $50 Cash 3rd Place
- $75 Trophies
=
-$25, yes, that is a NEGATIVE $25, in case you don't understand what that means, it means that IF I get 20 riders, I will loose $25 Now add in the fact that I will give away $100 worth of ECX T-shirts, $25 worth of stickers and have to pay someone $100 to work for me that day so I can run this contest for you guys, it will COST me somewhere between $250 and $300 so that you guys can have a good time. As for all the so called "Sponsor Money", there is none. Verde Bikes, Hoffmann Bikes, Aleination, DSA, and YAK have given us a few products and T-shirts to GIVE AWAY to you guys. As for RAZOR, they have given us NOTHING!
So before you guys start trashing us for MAKING A KILLING off of you please think about it for a minute. We are only doing this so that riders in this area can get together and compete and have a good time. If we manage to get more that 20 riders, maybe we can get closer to breaking even and not LOOSE MONEY.
Also, if we don't have 20 sign ups by the 7th we will most likely have to cancel the event, or at least adjust the prizes.

Entry fee has be dropped to only $15 and that includes the $10 entry fee for the park.
We will run 2 divisions for scooters. Beginer 12 and under and Advanced 13 and older.
If we do not have at least 8 riders in each division we will combine them.
Here are the prizes (so far):
1st Place - Trophy - DSA Deck Saver - YAK Scat Wheels - ODI Grips
2nd Place - Trophy - YAK Scat Wheels - ODI Grips
3rd Place - Trophy - YAK Pro Wheels - Proper Grips
We will also do a "BEST TRICK" contest that anyone can enter for $5. The WINNER will recieve a custom plaque and 1/2 of the entry money.
We are also doing a product toss with T-shirts, Hats, Stickers, Grips etc...
I hope this works for everyone!
P.S. Don't forget about the Raffle for the 2010 Verde Vex BMX Bike. Tickets are $5 each and proceeds go to help fund the ECX BMX & Scooter Teams. If you don't want the bike, you can trade it for a $300 ECX Gift Card!!!

ECX isn't getting much help putting this on, so they have to pay like 300 dollars to even run this thing. They will lose money almot no matter what. so if you think you could do better, help the cause, or run your own competition. and to all you kids who say your gonna be there and dont show, its not cool. As of right now, there is 0 people signed up. so people, sponsor this, or at least make an appearance.
