Nikon d50 or d40?

umm this will be my first camera im getting and im not sure which one to get and dont know the diferences of them ?

dont buy a slr if its your first camera becuase if you dont end up not likeing photography, you are going to wish you didn't get that camera, if i were you get a canon powershot or something

d40- the "newer" model of the d50, its faster and lighter than the d50.

d50- was made a little before the d40, its heavier but is easier to change manual settings (if your doing the shutter speed/apperture stuff like that)

but idk, both great cameras man.

i may be selling my d50
please keep me updated if you are i am very interested

and d40 v d50 ... i'd like the d50 but since it will be your first camera i might go for the d40 that is if you have not had expereance with other peoples cameras or a photograph class ... for the same reasons the other ppl have said

go with film if your a beginner

couldn't disagree more.

digital lets you experiment with settings and see the results instantly without going through countless rolls of film trying to figure things out.
