Nothing to ride...

The fact that I broke my last bars, and now waiting for Wees, made me go to the local hardware store and get material for making my own bars...
I also got a bus clamp becaouse it's the simplest way to do it...
Well the clamp can fit a 1 1/8" tube...so in theory, the steerer tube must be the same OD as the fork...but how to get it on the fork then?
Well...this is the idea:

I didn't draw the compression bolt here...but you can imagen where it belongs :p

That was the original idea and that's how it'll be made once I get the threadless fork my friend is making...
For now, only one clamp is holding the "C" cutted pipe that is holding the steerer and fork tube together and it is holding like a bomb...and I didn't need a starnut to tightedn the headset...I used the normal nut on the threaded fork, and once it was tight I removed it...
How it looks:

It survived a tough street session and 2-3 hours of my local miniramp...

At the end of the day my bus clamp broke in a pretty mad way...take a look...

I'm looking forward to getting a new one and test this on...I like it so far :)

you could've done the same idea, but upside down for example a 1 1/8 tube comeing out the bottom of the busclamp and a steertube clamped to that :)

huhuh, i just had this problem like days ago, what you need to do find out the exact OD of you forks then find the ID of your bars, where they clamp on to the forks, once you do that let me know
