Okay so now I've determined that like 5 people on here care about our new president, and we have ALL made unfair judgments probably about him and others, so lets just stop and see what happens, shall we?

I think McCain would have had a much better chance w/o Sarah Palin, and if he ran at a different time. McCain was a great choice for the republican party. it was just that no body wanted a republican after Bush.

Stop wishing death upon him. Hes not going to get shot. as jackson said. be optimistic.

Any word on the number of voters? They always say record # of voters, but how high is the record?

McCain's problem was that before the presidency he actually spoke well and seemed smart, but once he became a candidate his speeches turned into him saying the same thing over and over, and really not saying anything. Palin didn't help, cause seriously, she's just terrible.

She'd never get the nomination, unless somehow nuclear power goes horribly wrong and everyone becomes mutants who don't know how to think. Or if we turn into people like the movie Idiocracy, which isn't too far fetched.

I like Obama from what ive seen, which isnt much.
But do be fair there are already racist bastards attempting to assinate him, and they caught them but im pretty sure for every 2 assasins they catch there is bound to be another 10 waiting for the moment.

I own SR.
Obama won for these reasons:

1) He is black.
2) He spent almost a billion dollars on his campaign which was 8 times more than McCain.
3) The liberals that funded his campaign consisted of a lot of celebrities and media figure heads who were able to promote his campaign to the masses 24/7.

I don't necessarily think that McCain would have been any better of a choice because both candidates suck but it is humorous to see that Obama spent such an obscene amount of money and didn't win by THAT much. I hope he can do what he says but that is never what happens in politics.

I do not believe he would have won if there had been limitations on his campaign budget.
