Ohio Dreams Action Sports Camp

Last summer, I looked around for camps to go to that would allow scooters. I found a few including Woodward, and of course Ohio Dreams. After researching both camps, I learned that Woodward did not allow Scooters for long term (1+ week) camps. I ended up calling Ohio Dreams and they were open minded to the fact that scootering could be something more than a toy. They let me into their camp as one of the first scooter riders, and let me join the BMX group to learn tricks like backflips. Throughout the week I was there, I talked to them about how big scootering was, and how they could help the sport grow by offering a fulltime camp experience dedicated to scooters.

After recently browsing their site, I noticed a new article entitled "Scooters". The first line of this article reads:

"Ohio Dreams is the first Action Sports Camp to fully embrace Scootering as a legitimate Action Sport."

It then goes on about an interview that I did for Project Scooters a while back.

I know Woodward offers the weekend Scooter camp as of now too, so don't get me wrong about representing Ohio Dreams as the very first camp to endorse scooters. However they are the first camp to offer a full program that is dedicated to it.

What do you guys think of this? I will definitely be going back to the camp for a few weeks this summer, especially now that they have the new program. I think it's cool how fast we're getting recognition as a legitimate sport on so many different levels.

2010 is our year guys. It's our time to shine.

Oh yeah, open sessions. I don't think anyone is going to go out there just for an open session though haha.
