ok i got a huge pro and i realy need help

ok ive been running stock forks for a while and now the ones i have are all bent realy bad so i realy need a new fork setup but i dont wana waste a bunch of money on a threaded fork cause ive been looking to switch to threadless soon any way but i dont have enough money to buy everything i need to run threadless. thread less headset, scs, compression systems and all that crap. so i want to know wat is the least amount of stuff i can buy to use a threadless fork cause i only have enough to buy the fork and and mabey a cheap headset and not much else????? PLZ i need help and mods and admins plz dont lock this after i get one answer id like to see wat more than one person says

if you fricken searched you would have found more results than this thread will get replies. cheapest fork, luckyscoot.com $55 for nork. cheapest threadless headset doggscooters.com $15 and cheapest compression is inverted and get the DSA inverted compression... NOW LOCK THIS THREAD.

tanner i dont feel like searching it takes forever so gtfo but thanks sk00t3r but how am i supposed to lock the fork in place or do i just have to push the bars and the fork together as i am tightening up the clamps

i really dont give a crap what you feel like doing. use the search button or YOU gtfo. it really doesnt take forever. neither does google. so shutup and search. this thread has to be locked.

Headset: Use a stock headset. Now, the way to make it threadless is to take off the 2 nuts on your forktube. Get a crown race and put it upside down on the top bearings/headset cup on your headtube. Then go to a bike shop and get a threadless headset "wedge". They will give it to you for free, I've done it a million times. Then put the wedge on top of the upside down crown race and put your bars over your threadless fork. Tighten it down with your compression bolt. Stock headsets are amazing if you do this. Seriously.

Overall, it's the cheapest and most solid set-up you can get for your money This is the way to go^^^

i thought about doint the headset thing a while ago, but i never rode it.

just stay threaded, i like it way better. Running an inward 0.120 zero offset threaded, with wee bars and a cane creek and the threaded compression nut that comes stock with teh pro, and its sooo amazing.
