i know these topics arnt exactly few and far between but.........

right now i am using a sony handycam dcr hc26
i want to step it up a little

i'm looking for a good camera with manual setttings that records to mini dv
any type works

my budget is like $800 to $1,000

any suggestions?

and also the money could be used for the camera and accessories combined, like if a camera was only $600 i could spend the rest on accessories like lights? i guess? im kinda new to this hah

I got myself banned.
I'd get one of those Panasonic GS-500's, a baby death fisheye (century optics .3 37mm fisheye), and possibly a light (a bescor) if you think your gonna use it. That way you'll have 3ccds and a fisheye. You can make a handle for it to. You'll pretty much have a really legit low end 3ccd camera if you get all that.

edit: thats all under like $800 new i think. And i know if you go on Skate Perception people are gonna be like oh get a TRV900 or a VX1000, but fuck that shit man, that shit is over 10 years old man, don't waste your money, get something fresh.

im gonna buy the whole setup brian came up with excep the light, i'll ask for that for my birthday or something
