old A fork and tank II problem please help

I already looked for this, nothing similar.

I just got a new tank II headset that is on my tsi deck and old a threaded fork. Everytime i tighten it all the way, it wont spin. But when its a little looser, it spins good but the bars wobble. I have the top locknut for a threaded fork on there like you're supposed to also. Also, when i just try to spin the deck as fast as i can, it just stops spinning and it squeaks.

i had the same problem just with a diffrent headset when i road a old a fork

ik wat ur talkin about, just try to find a happy medium or tightend it a little more than comfortable and it should loosen up itself

Are you using the headset race that came with the headset?

yes, buy some good grease for it. 3 in 1 oil works, bones speed cream works

im using everything that came with it. Tomorrow i will buy some headset lube from the local bike shop.

try to buy something that is more of a grease then a lube

its the dust cover rubbing on the top cup
sand the top cup down like 2mm
i had that headset for 6 months befor i found thiss out
then i sanded it and it worked fine then i broke it

were you using a threaded fork? i just dont wanna fuck it up before in case its a different problem

how are you running the whole headset with stock forks? they're to short, the bars probably don't go on enough. when i had my tsi, fsa headset, and stock forks, i ran the fsa cups and bearings, but the i just put the lock nut with the circle thing on it and tightened that on. it worked fine. i didn't use the rest of the headset till i went threadless.
