Older skaters/ scooters?

Hey all. This is my first post. I am 31 years old and have been skateboarding for 4 years when I was like 15. Getting back into riding and skateing here recently. My son Skateboards, but he had his old Razor out the other day and I gave it a try. It was pretty kick a$$. I use to race downhill mountain bike a few years ago and jumps came pretty easy to me until I broke his scoot. Needless to say I weigh 210lbs and that was the reason. Well I went and bought me a Razor Pro and I am in the process of customizing it based on this websites suggestions.

Since I am here I was wondering what is the concensus of everyones first thoughts when they see an older skater/ scooter like me at a skatepark busting his a$$ like everyone else? The reason I am asking is are you ever to old to hang it up? Probably most of you are still in your teens so ponder this question as one day yourself will be my age. if Tony hawk, Danny Way and Mike Mcgill can do it. Hey why not right?

peace,

I support you all the way. Look into progressing this sport too by making stuff or organizing things as that is what we need. As for your question though I am 13 I say as long as you can do it do it.

I don't know whether that is good or bad? LMFAO! Have you ever heard the sound of a 200lb man slamming down on a halfpipe after he screwed up a superman vert 7 footer? Should have been here in Georgia this past weekend. It sounds like an atomic bomb in your ear! LOL!

welcome to SR man. You are totally outnumbered on this site though, 99% of it is like under the age of 12.... ehhh whatever though. If you enjoy riding and all that, then go for it by all means, nothing should stop you if you're having fun with it.

it would mean allot to the sport if anyone joins. but even better for a man of your age to join us. stick with the sport if you think it's fun and you enjoy it. no matter what your helping the sport get larger and lager. welcome to scooterresource!

Most of the site is between 13-16. Who remembers 'skooterbitch'? That dude was like in his late 20s. He killed it and this was like 9 years ago. I think Martin Kimbell has videos of him.

Hey. This is my first post too! I joined right after NEONCABBIT.
What'd your kid think when he found out you broke his scooter?

My friend Egon is 28, married and a father of one, but he manages to come to skatepark a few times a year to shred his asss out, bustin tailwhips and stuff.
