one piece bar help...

ok so my one piece bars didn't come with the slits for the clamp so i was wondering how to make them. i did search but couldn't find the one piece bar tutorial. so can you please help me out

But use a hacksaw, and cut two slits RIGHT next to each other, and then do the same thing on the other side. Use a screwdriver and pliers to get rid of the thin strips of metal thats left when you cut them.

ok i did it but when i tighten the clamp the end of the bolt sticks way out so do i need to make the slit wider?
