One Piece Bars help

Ok so I got some one piece bars my grampa made and the cross bar's OD is 1 inch. Is it possible to put bmx grips on them?

Sorry Im a noob so help please. I am going to buy new grips but if bmx grips dont fit on them Im just going to cut down the bars at my crossbar and find a 7/8 " OD crossbar

well im saying like it is to big because I heard that if it is bigger then 7/8" bmx grips wont fit or you would have to stretch it out really far. But I have a 1" crossbar which im saying might be to big.

Anybody else made bars that have a 1" crossbar?
I need to know before i buy grips so i dont try putting them on and screw-up the grips

I have a 1 inch bar on my seatpost bars and grips fit fine, you just gotta use hairspray to help get them on. 1/8 of an inch is nothing really.
