wayy to many welds = weak spots

as previously stated on this website by someone who has welded before,

"if welded correctly, the welds are in no way weaker than the starting material" icbf finding actual quote

anyways gtfo and dont post if you dont know what your talking about
NO, either you find that quote, or you gtfo
why do you think wee's gussets are the way they are, to prevent welding under crossbar.
welds create weakspots.

i loled at murphy. i didnt weld it. my friends dad did it. he welds racecar frames so his welds are reallllyyy strong. but not the pretty est. i grided them all down on the top and am going to put a grind plate on the bottom. it is black and polised alu. yea it has way to many welds but all are needed. i used 2024 alu for the moded stuff. google it. really strong alu but hard to weld and not as corosion resistant as 6061 [buff bars] so the welds are messed up cause it is a bitccchhh to weld. hence this is a prototype im just testing the design that is why it messy, on a moded pro, not cnc'ed, and ugly. but it is sooooo solid. i rode it for a day at took it appart. i dud whipped it of a curb and it was so nice. it is not that heavy. [3lbs]

scoottwilliams- ur right but idk where that post is. most metal it like that. but for bars it is best if there are no weld on the bottom of the cross bar[wee's] . so slayers with mini wee gussets would be sooooooo strong. but i realy doubt that anyone will break slayers the way then are. expecial with buffs weldin skills

to me it looks like a pro deck cut the back got the back part of a blade welded it on and then welded the head tube on tomany welds it would crack that easy

i really doubt youve been making bars for 3+ years
one, nobody had aftermarket bars 3 years ago that i can remember
you havnt even been riding that long

i havent been RIDEING. i would make the razor extemed where shitty ones. and mild steel one piece bars. i started really making good bars last year.

my scooter complete witht the deck is $600. i willlll have pictures when i get my frid and protos. think about it this way 4 pros will cost 200. so if my deck can out last 4 pros it is worth the money. and will pay for it self. i have a NEW design with less metal and CNC billet parts on it. this is just a prototype so all u haters stfu. i dont see very many of you making decks. maybe 4 not counting andrew.

IF WELDS ARE DONE RIGHT THEN ARE LESS JUST AS STRONG AS THE NORMAL MATERAIL. i used 2024 VERY HIGH GRADE ALUIMNUM. VERY DENCE. i also had a PROFESSIAL TIG WELDER THAT WELDS RACECAR FRAMES DO IT. i thing if his welds are in $100,000 cars he just might know what he is doing. as far as strenth!

the drop out is a viper. like an old a. i didnt want to machine my own YET. cause it would be more money. i used a pro deck middle to start with so i would use less material and also save money. i actually thing about this kinda shittt!!
