Opteka .3x Fisheye 37mm or 43mm

I have a sanyo camcorder that has 37mm threads and I want to buy a Opteka .3x fisheye. Will 47mm and step up rings give me a wider image or should i stick to the 37mm

Stepping up shouldn't matter too much. Stepping down too much is where vig occurs. If theres a local camera shop they'd probably even be able to tell you if there were a vig problem with your camera.
