Origin 8, Cane creek S1 or Cane Creek S3?

Hi guys.

Looking for a new headset. I want a GOOD CHEAP headset. I am heading towards the 3 i listed, but if there are other under the $50au mark, please list them for me.

So, out of the 3 i have listed, what should i get?

And also list the best place to buy them im Aus.

cane creeek s-1 is better than the s-3( stronger), but i like the origin 8 so thats what i would go with

I think im going to go with the S-3.

But i have a few questions:

1. What are the differences between the S-3 TR and the S-3 PLUS 5.TR?

2. What are the differences between the S-8 and S-3?

3. Out of those 3, what should i get?

1. the plus 5 is for special bikes that need special spacer. its no different then s-3. won't work on scooter.

2.The s-8 is better. the only reason is that it has a stainless steel race or bearings. Would only get s-8 if its $10 more.

3. probably the s-3 if you can get it for a reasonble price. But i also recommened the diatech cb-2 headset as thats what i run. it is super smooth and fast and aslo comes in lots of colours.

So I would go for the s-3 or the diatech (depends on price also up tp you). Only get the s-8 if its not much more maybe $10 or $5 more.

no worries bro. glad to help out. tell me what you end up getting or decide to get. the reason i know is i went with the same choices as you. also check out ebay. I ended up getting the diatech cause it came in the colour i wanted and my dad said he would shout me barends lol. it seems like a really good headset. well i was happy with it

not sure but there a bit different. the one that would fit is the one on ebay. i would try to buy in australia or go to ur local bike shops

or not, postage on my Origin8 from USA was like $12.
