Original Fork Design

This is my home made fork idea, I think the design is original (correct me if I'm wrong).
It is made of 50mm x 50mm x 2mm galvanised steel square hollow section.
It uses a pro rear axle and two 10mm spacers, the pencil arc represents a 110mm wheel.
This design can be easily changed to accommodate 125mm wheels and different off-sets.
Obviously it's not finished yet, but what do people think?
Also, should I weld the fork tube on top of the top plate?
Or drill a hole into the top plate to house the fork tube, then weld from underneath and on top? (like on most stock forks)

The fork isn't centered on the fork tube to stop it falling over because it's resting on a slope.

it looks like it has potential but may i suggest cutting out some of the spare metal on the legs to give it some good looks?

no affence, it would be good, strong/light but with other products offering the same....i dont want to be mean or anything, its good people are coming up with ideas but. it looks so ugly, just my opinion.

ahh that looks sick now man, but dont use that sttock fork tube. id recommend using a nomal tube the same diameter as the forktube. and basically make a threadless fork, itd definitely be stronger.

I would try that if I could find the correct size tube, maybe on the next fork I make. I've only ridden threaded so far, but my forks are reinforced with a tube that has a 2mm wall thickness and it's a good fit. These forks haven't failed me yet.
