I would have thought that it would be pretty self explanatory that there is no place for god talk in a universe thread...

I guess not.

Grant, I have nothing against you, I just don't want this thread to blow up into an argument, if its going to cause controversy, don't post it. Anyone know any good documentaries about space , more like that far out stuff, nebulas, supernovas, blackholess etc btw what do you guys think, multiple universes or just ours

I'm gonna say that I don't know. The plurality of universes has beem compared to the idea of God, no real proof, but lots of people accept the idea because it feels right somehow.

The supernova remnant Cassiopeia A as seen by the Chandra X-Ray Observatory. The blue dot in the centre of the image is identified as a young neutron star.

Mind Boggling. What is a black hole even? Is it nothing? Where does all the stuff sucked into it go? Some other dimention, or just nowhere? And the distance across space is uncomprehendable... Space is awesommeee

we should really put more money into space exploration and try our best to get a man on mars, that would be simply incredible. We never REALLY know what we may find, but i think its well worth the money, and i definitely wouldnt mind the government taking more out of my paychecks for a new space program
