oversize clamps?

i currently have hic and a district double clamp and i have heard that having a slit go above your clamp can make the bars snap easier so i was thinking would it be best to get a new clamp that is quad or something so it doesnt happen? bearing in mind i snapped a pair of alu bars where the slit would be the slit didnt come out on those bars and if you think i should get a new clamp what one would you recomend

Standard Compression System. Cut the bars above slit and the SCS boosts them back up to normal height.

You are fine with a double clamp, I ride HIC too and a double clamp (Brand X) Yes make sure the slit doesn't go over the clamp allot. That's what I have done and it works great

oh ok thanks ! and at the other person i dont want scs cos my hic works fine just wondered about the slit and also back at martin do you know of any oversized quad or triple clamps?

No probs man, I know French Id make an oversized triple clamp. Blazer make a oversized quad but they aren't very good.

or you can get another double if your that worried. but you should be fine.

get the tsi double clamp, it's like the same size as triple and won't strip.
