they dont make 1-3/8" tnt clamps. get a french id clamp from c4 or the proto store.

You can stretch it but an actual 1-3/8" clamp would be a little more dialed.

Yes. Half Knucks work too, but don't stretch the pro clamp, especially if you're wanting to use the compression system because it won't be strong enough to keep it tight.

half knuckle is the best choice considering it was made for 1 3-8" bars

True, but TNT Clamps can fit up to like a little under 2 inches I think. They would fit.

use half knuckles, and when you put the HIC shim on, turn it so the slits are on the side...it clamps the fork more.
