Alright, i have these really ugly neon green flair bars, and im gonna paint them. first off should i do a little sanding on it just to get a good surface for the spray paint to stick? do i have to strip the bars and how do i if i have to?

i was thinking of just going with all white, or maybe a white fadeing into some other color..... suggestions?!?!

if you sand them, sand them so that there is NO paint rest or it will let som little scratches if it with a spray paint.

Alright koolaid man
go to home deopot with lie 15 bucks and get yourself some paint stripper, its in a plstic bottle usually and the one i use is always orange goo-ish looking. buy that, apply a think coat on ur bars, lett sit over night, then the next morning the paint will be all flaky, rubbery kinda, and nasty, so peel it off with a plastic knife.

voila you're done

buy this stuff at like autozone or any auto parts store called TRIM paint, its made for the trim around car windows, a few coats of this stuff and its like a powdercoating, i did it to one of my razor decks.

as for stripping, lacour thinner, however its spelt or wet-dry sand paper works best and leaves a nice smooth-ness to your bars

get paint stripped and paint strip them and then sand them and then get white primar spray paint and good white spray paint and do 2 layers of primary and 2 layers if the good spray paint and then clear coat them and that should do the job:)
