Painting a core

will this be ok if i don't have special primer for Al and i just make a few coats of spray-paint and then a few layers of clearcoat? will it not chip too easily considering a core is not a part i often touch?

that should work but make sure to clean off the core first

yea it works perfectly. u dont even need that many coats. probably 1 or 2 of each, paint and clear coat.
cleat coat isnt even necessary tho. but if u want it shiny then it works great

yeah all u need is two coats and i didnt even clean the core first just tape the rubber on your wheel so u dont paint it.
