i want to paint my bars so its red at the bottom and fades to black at the top. ive seen it before and thought it was sick
how do they do it though?

spray it like u normally would but use the lighter colour first then spray the darker colour over the top and well.. i dunno how i fade it hahah, i just do

spray the bottom red and start going up moving the spray can futher away from the bars then stop at the middle... then do the same for the top

i did it, you have to learn from experience, cause it is very hard with spray paint, and it is hard to get over spray on the opposite color. so dont try it, unless you want to f-ck up your bars. but it might be good.

it is extra paint that misses the material you are painting, and it gets on the opposite color that you are painting, then i looks ugly

i get wat u mean

i just painted them and it didnt come out to bad, it started to drizzle so i kinda rushed on the touch ups. but like u were saying, im sure it takes some experience to do something like this
im satisfyed with it as a first try

yeh from what ive heard just do it clean at the bottom, and as you start to go near wherew the fade is you ease the can away from the bars.
then with the top colour start from the fadde(??) and stay further away then as you get higher up move can in abit.
