i also painted mine today and what i did was put about 3 thin layers on then used a heat gun to dry it. after that i put primer on it and mines fine

this doesnt make sense. primer is what you put on before you paint.

the way i painted my scooter a while back was i sprayed about 2 coats of primer. then 2 coats of whatever color. and then just 1 coat of clear coat. it worked fine and looked great.

when u spray paint it, do one thin coat at a time, 2-3 times over then clear coat it the same way 2 times and you're good to go! too thick a layer of paint at one go comes off really quickly

You put primer on first.
First, sand down the surface to a smooth, maybe matte finish.
Then, add primer, maybe two coats - DON'T SPRAY TOO HEAVILY IN ONE SPOT. YOU'LL GET DRIPS = RUINED JOB.
then, spray the colour you want on, and maybe another, same as above.
I never use clear coats, so meh

what i do is i sand it down so its not all dirty and stuff.
then i do 2 coats of primer.
then whatever color a lot of times but thinly.
then some clear coat.
