GS500 > GS120 > GS320 > any other GS-series.

TRV if you want "VX-like" footage.
Panny if you want "DVX/GL/DVC-like" footage.

GS doesn't really give DVX like footy, at all. TRV900 with a baby death is pretty much the closest thing you can get to a VX1MK1.

Someone told me that before, I wouldn't know since I've only used a GS320 once.

I've also heard that GSs are sharper than TRVs.

They might be sharper, but I think TRV's produce better colors and have better audio(even though both aren't great). Both are good cameras, I just prefer the image the TRV puts out over the image of any GS series.

I have a GS, I think it's a 300, and it's pretty sweet. Once you get the manual adjustments down it looks good. I have no idea in comparison to the TRV or anything else in its category but if you can get one cheap I suggest it.

You could try that used one for $300 cause that's a steal. As a rule of thumb if the default pictures that you can look at of the camera include a picture of somebody actually filming skateboarding with it then it's prob a good camera hahaha. Just a heads up

Are you retarded? So if a flip had an ad with somebody filming skateboarding with it you would think it was a good camera?

That is a horrible rule of thumb.

My thumb is hurt. I'm just saying that if you've seen somebody film with it then it's prob been cleared for being good for skating and not just soccer games or family reunions or whatever else people use camcorders for. And to Parker, no I have never seen a flip camera that had a pic of somebody skating because that's just stupid. Common sense shouldn't be thrown out the window.
