thanks. i wasn't sure how to light it, since the background would get illuminated more than the bike.

and i know my timing is bad on all of them, except for the last one, but i don't like how the last one, the ramp is cut off.

i'll deffinatly reshoot when i get a lens besides the 50mm

i have no clue.
i think i was paying too much attention to my flashes actually firing, and not the actual picture

i hate the un natural looking crops your starting to get the hang of it though bump your shutter up to like 500 one flash behind him and one flash to the left of him would be perfect and get on top of the quarter after that and zoom in and shoot it horizontal with the rule of thirds technique

the thing is that my 18-55 broke, so i only have a 50.
and the sun was really bright that day, and the un-processed picture has a flash behind him, to the left, so it doesn't help that much

and my flash sync speed is 1/200, the max i can push it to is 1/250

well just stnd on the gorund and get farther back
and why can you only go to 250? i thought you had cactuses you cant get away with those flash sync speeds in daylight, only night

thats all my camera can sync to.
and in all those pictures, im standing on the ramp, thats like against the fence of the park. its a small park

All pictures were using on-camera flash, NO post processing/photoshop was done to any of the pictures, they are all straight off the memory card.

yeah, there really isnt much of a lighting "style" if you were just using the on camera flash.

I did a reshoot, and these were off camera flashes, one bounced off the wall, and one through a diffuser
