a Sledge is pretty much the perfect deck for me, I just wish it was 5" on the bottom. People run pegs on decks that are already 4.8 wide and don't seem to have a problem so I don't think being 5 wide on the bottom would scrape too much. Also, I think Proto were onto something when they designed the TDI system, not so much for the interchangeable neck/deck plate, because fuck paying like 100 bucks or more for half a deck after you've already snapped that same piece before (although switching deck sizes/HT angle when you get bored of a certain size would be cool) but more for the no welds and im sure there are ways to improve upon that system.

I want to see forks with an integrated starnut that's built like an inch into the fork tube, it would come with an extra long bolt so if you're using a standard sized headtube like a TSI, you would just use the longer bolt and it would work fine. If you were running a deck with a shorter headtube like an Ethic, you would be able to cut a bit off the top of the fork tube so you wouldn't need spacers and you would just use a regular length bolt for the compression.

Yeah I've always wondered why almost all forged headtubes are shorter than a standard welded headtube, it's really irritating that all headtubes aren't the exact same length. I just think it would be an easy fix for the problem of having to run spacers.

I've never seen or heard of anyone snapping a bolt in the middle of an SCS, if anything was going to snap it would be the forks themselves. It would only be like an inch longer anyway.

Just thought of this compression system that's basically just ics but improved. Have a standard bar that has a thread like the inside of a tilt fork
but the thread is inside the bars so instead of having that starnut you'll have threads like that. then get a bike compression bolt
and put it through a specific fork that has a lip on the end so you can out the bolt through it but the end will get stopped. Sort of like this district fork but the hole is bigger
Kind of hard to explain but it would be so great I mean ics is super light and balanced and if you use this idea it will almost never get loose. Only problem is that the thread will have to be integrated at a specific place in the bars so the bars can not be cut. but this can be fixed by ordering bars that are shorter but the thread is integrated farther down the bars. In a way it's sort of like a balanced upside down scs but with less material so it'll be a lot lighter. If these specific parts were made by some good companies specifically tilt then it would be the compression system of the future imo. I'm calling it tcs™. Tell me if there are errors though

[Been done, but the threads weren't integrated. It was a starnut with larger threads and used that same style bolt. I won an Addict in a flat comp when Addict first came out and that was the compression style used.

MAke a stellar stash barend. Like you put a tiny af key in it and turn and thats what loosens it sorta like the ody parend and literally all of the nice barends that use allens. The plug would stop being a plug after like 1 inch but still be a tube and inside that tube you could stash money, house key, or oregano cigarretes. But idk the tube might have some thing to dampen the impact of everything so no jiggling kinda like a rubber inner tube inside. Please tell me you guys understand.
