This PYTEL shit looks pretty cool but im really skeptical as to how well that holds and how much control you have over the tightness of your headset

PCS Stands for Pytel Compression System. I originally called it Wedge compression but during development Fasen release their "Wedge Clamp" a couple years back and i didn't want there to be any association considering there nothing alike whatso-ever...so while it was nameless we just called it my compression and it just stuck. I am making a more in depth video pretty soon explaining ho qit works. it was released earlier this year on the new Ultro Pro line, and just recently released on the new district C050 scooter.

Someone made a comment that it is probably just a variation of ICS, and I would respond by saying that ICS, HIC, and SCS all consist of a compression bolt, startnut and internal workings. PCS is the first externally maintenance-able compression system, with no internal components. No starnut, no compression bolt. I have been rocking my final version for over a year now after on and off for the few years prior with prototypes. So no, its not really just a variation of an existing system.

It is a two piece system. there is the clamp, and the bottom collar. there is a chamfered/tapered/angled male edge with a matching female cut on the collar. you tighten the clamp to hold the bars and fork together, then tighten the collar to act upon the angle surface. this tensions the system which compresses the headset. I had a few versions of it, i also had a version that was an add-on to any existing compression system. so it can be its own system, or just allow any favorite system to become externally maintenance-able. I plan to release an add-on version of it eventually in addition to the existing stand alone versions on the ultra pro .

I dont see it taking over the compression world at all, SCS is pretty well accepted as the go-to for most riders...
It has its benefits, especially on beginner level scooters, even though i rock it with no issue on my regular set up.
I originally wanted to create a universal compression system, something that could work with any bar, any fork, et cetera...
With so many parts specifically designed for a certain type of system that is not too realistic anymore.

Its good for what its good for, I love it!

Haha damn, my feet are only like a US 11 I think, I suppose I just like the idea of having a shit ton of foot space.

I drew this the moment the intro vid said "wedge" and made my own with 2 old clamps and a headset race but had other issues that stopped it from working and gave up.
 
Like a peg that is free spinning, almost like an extended bolt with a sheet over it so it spins.

Like an extended wheel bolt with bearings on it, then just put a sheet of metal or something on it. Removes the need for wax theoretically.

wouldnt that defeat the purpose of a grind though, since you'll be rolling instead of grinding

but to be fair if you'd want one, you could get a really long axle and put a bunch of bearings in them (tb to early riding days), but fit them so that they'll still roll

technically had that when my homemade bearing peg would get loose
