Dude, you have no idea what you are talking about.
It's less efficient to make a steel deck, which is why it isn't going to happen.
Why would you use steel when you can use aluminum?
because steel or chromoly has better resistance to fatigue than aluminium so it would last a lot longer, even if it's designed to be the same strength.
You also have no idea what you are talking about. I am a mechanical engineer, don't try and tell me about this.
i doubt it

So you're saying it doesn't ?
All that dom wants to say without insulting you too much is alu is the superior material in the case of manufacturing scooter parts ex bars because of its malleability (easy to machine and easy to shape), stiffness once heat treated (most aluminium alloys have a considerably higher strength to weight ratio (as far as ultimate tensile strength and yield strength goes)) and availability. Cr-mo issues are low malleability thanks to it steel properties, unless properly heat treated will bend easily and why make something heavier and harder to mass manufacture. Bars are a different story as its just simple tubing, you dont want snapping alu bars so it is an easy choice.
Yeah I understand that but you could make a deck out of simple chromoly tube like the RAD dirtscoot or the style of the old TSIs. I wouldn't mind paying more to have a deck that I know's going to last ages and not wear through quickly because of grinds. You rarely see a bmx frame snapping yet scooter decks are doing it all the time so just because it may be quicker and cheaper to produce alu alloy decks, it doesn't mean it's the better option.
