That reasoning makes no sense. We put SCOOTER pegs on scooters, and BIKE pegs on bikes. I don't see the problem.

Those pegs were not meant to slide or grind but for carrying people. I'm sure the company put the pattern on the pegs for grip when someone is on it. Either that or they're for show cause they're impractical
