I'm saving my money currently for a DSLR. In about 2-4 weeks, I should have enough to get a body and kit lens. I have done quite a bit of research, and right now, I'm planning on getting the Pentax K100D Super. I have found a legit site to get the body and kit lens for $499. Is this a good camera to get? This will be my first DSLR, and I hope to become some sort of photographer when I'm older. For those of you who do have thie camera, what kind of lenses/other accessories do you have? Any info. would be great!

I used to shoot with pentax but i switched to nikon because pentax dont really have much accessories compared to Nikon soo yeh but yeh for your first DSLR get a pentax ist Ds or K100D super or a nikon D40

if you are getting a nikon, get a d50 or a d70, used
d40 and d60 don't have an auto focus motor in them, so you can't use most of the nikon lenses on them

Parker people starting out to photography dnt need An auto focus motor in their lens.. An 18-55mm lens will do fine then they can update later.. Whoever said that it doesnt have much accesories is an idiot.
Its a very good camera, owns Nikon d40 and Canon whatsit called.

Nikons- my mate has one and he says there really hard to use, they dont come with S.R like in the pentax, theyre more expensive, the lenses are way more expensive.
and for accesories, dont get any for the time being, but if needs be get a tripod.
Im not gonna tell you all my accesories and stuff.
But i have a zoom lens, 2 flashes,some filters,radioslaves etc.
but im pretty into photography and will take it further.
In the future i will be sticking with pentax.
