can i runn the grenade compresion on the threaded forks untill i get new threadless forks. will it mess up the scs at all? i know its dumb but will it work for the time being? my threads are partly stripped if that means any thing??? i just want my bars to be higher. and to go threadless.

it will thread the scs, which is a pain in the ass when you finally buy threadless forks because you'll have to sand the threading down, and it's pointless.

Don't do it, it won't increase your bar size anyway so idk what your on, you have to cut the slit off then put in scs making bars pretty much the same height, and if you run it with threaded you'll probably thread the scs and then have to sand it down, it's a pain in the ass so don't bother

if i sand down the threads and use a shim of some sort will it work? ive heard of it being done before. its kinda dumb i know. but idont wanna go buy higher bars for the time being then go buy another pair of fork and scs when i could just get scs and forks

No, just do what another guy did (I forget his name) and out jb weld on the threads and sand the extra jb weld down. Put in a starnut and your set.

i like this idea thanksss. but i wanna hear some others. i would cut a fork tube off a spare pair of forks and shove it inside the bars so when the scs clamps down it wont let the slit bend in and collapse i geuss you could sayy

Well to be honest thats the going to be your best chance. The shim idea is too weak (I was planning to do it but didn't bother)

you will ruin the scs y dont you just wait until you get threadless forks, in the mean time use spacers on what you have to make the bars higher

how will i ruin it? if i do the jb weld and its nice and smooth.seems like it would be almost the same as a threadless fork to me, i dont mean to be ignorant but please explain.
