phoenix switchblade wont fit 110mm

hey i just got a phoenix deck and when i first put the brake on it seems like there will be plenty of clearance for a 110mm wheel but one i do it up nice and snug the brake goes down somehow and rubs on my wheel. has anybody heard of this happenning or know what to do?

yeah on the underside of the brake i have the rubber vibration dampner followed by the washer and then the lock nut.

with what? i tried just putting a flathead between the wheel and the brake and prying it with that but as soon as i took it out it just bent right back down onto the wheel...

i dont have access to anything like that and frankly i really shouldnt have to considering this is brand new. one other thing that i found odd was that there were 2 holes in the break instead of just one like in all of the pictures i saw. i assume its so you can put it in the other one if you want to run a 100mm wheel or something but i still dont see why when it is in the one that has the brake sit as far back as possible it wont fit a 110mm wheel. the wheel isnt even new either its actually fairly worn down...

alright i guess thats what i will have to do. fuck man this really sucks i wasnt able to ride for over a week while i was waiting for this deck to get here and now it looks like i will be doing some more waiting...

yeah i broke my ultra pro and didnt feel like waiting for the proto deck so i ordered this and even paid extra for express shipping or whatever because i really wanted to get some riding in before the snow hit and now this... oah well thanks anyways for the help man!

well it wont bend so yeah it is and thanks i had it underneath the brake.

i wish i could since i dont even use my brake ever but i ride ski so i need something there to keep my heels out of the wheel.

oah thats cool.

edit: so i put the vibration dampner inbetween the brake and the deck and now it doesnt touch the wheel, thanks a lot for the help guys and if a mod stumbles across this feel free to lock the thread...

Hey - You should be able to bend it a little to create the clearance you need. They use a computer controlled bender to make it. I am sorry that you got one that wasn't bent correctly. If you don't want to mess with it, just PM me and i will get your address and send you a new one.

And, yeah, the rubber damper goes in between the deck and the brake.

thanks for the offer but i put the rubber damper in the correct place and now it fits my wheel just fine, so it was my problem not yours. shows how legit of a company you guys are though standing behind your products like that. i will make sure to continue buying parts from you guys and supporting you in the future...
