Play Station Portable

Hi guys , I decided to buy a PSP. I will still ride scooters as much as I use to but before I sleep and on rainy days , I want to play PSP. I do not know much of PSP. Could those who knows more about it tell me more? As far as I know , I heard that I should only get the Version 1.5. The other versions will not be able to play pirated games which cost much cheaper and which is more or less what China shopping is all about lol. When I am buying , what do I look out for like what do I have to be carful of so that I don't get cheated because , in Shanghai , theres this computer building with alot of PSP and computers and sometimes , they might give me the defects or try cheat me somehow. Most of you don't know what it is here in China but maybe some tips will help me beware of certain things.

I am not sure of certain things. As far as I think , when I buy it , I get a charger , batteries and a system. Do I have to get a memory card? What are the other things I need to get?

Thanks alot. Please answer my questions if you could.

True but not for China. As soon as I go out of my house , you see people who set up wooden tables in the middle of roads selling fake DVDs for 5 RMB which is like 60 USD cents and thats with English audio and subtitles and a proper working DVD.

Anyway , do you know anything else?

You get a 32mb memory card when you but it. You dont really need to buy anything else except for games. You can buy a USB cable if you dont already have one so you can hook it up to your computer and put movies, musice, etc., on it. It is pretty good investment.

You'd be downloading PSP games and putting them on your memory stick to play them... UMD burners are not available to consumers (i think), so you can't buy pirated UMD's. You should just go on google and search to find out more shit. Piracy discussion isn't allowed here anyway.

lol psp's are sick :) unfortunatly there are no scooting games for it but on tony hawk u can unlock a guy who is on a motor scoot and he can do bar spins and shit lol
a usb cable comes with the psp so u dont need to buy that and i THINK (havnt done just heard) if u get like a 1gb or 2gb memry stick u can download games off the net for free/small price

Sorry about the piracy talk. What are UMDs?
I asked some of my friends about it. They say , when I buy a PSP , it comes with 1 system , 1 charger , 1 battery , 1 32mb memory stick. Long ago , my cousin talked about some package. Is this the package thing?

My friends said that I have to buy a new memory stick because 32 GB is way too little. The games I want to play are Tony Hawk , Dave Mirra , Need for Speed and some action games involving guns / RPG.

What do you guys think? Is 32 mb enough? Or should I try it for a while and then if i think I need something better , I buy a bigger memory stick.

the normal/basic/soal/anything u wont to call it PACK comes with a charger, system, battery, 32mb stick, and i think a usb cable...might be wrong

a UMD is like a dvd or disck for a psp, they are just a little different (small disks with a plastic outside so they dont get ruined) those games ur talking about r DANK!!! lol i hope this imfo helps :p :D

32mb almost too much, my ass. Hes talking about actual games, not just save data. 32mb is like 6 songs. If your downloading games and shit, definitely get a 1gb stick since most games are like 500mb+ after you resize them.

Yeah, PSP is amazing, But don't use Pirated ISO's-1! because thats cheap, I use ISO's-1 and shove them in my Stick only because im sick of carrying my UMD's everywhere ( THE UMD's ARE MINE THAT I BACKED UP AND BURNED TO A .CSO-2 FILE
But yeah I use Modified Firmware because the apps are awesome that people make, And the sweet homebrewing! :D

Version 3.10 OE-A' baby!

-1 = ISO is a filetype from usually discs, etc.
-2 = CSO is also a filetype that are burned from PSP UMD Games.
