Ok a friend and I were thinking of a scooter comp/jam/get-together thing my friend has another friend who hosted a roller-bladin get together. Anyways cut to the chase would you come or would you not [i would of made this into a poll but im a bit slack] there will most probably be prizes but we won't have any sponsors unless someone could get some or we might be able to hook up some sponsors. We think maybe near the end of this year or the start of next year. We will have pics up of the skateparks you can choose from. For now we have a site that has some pics of one of the skate-parks www.convic.com also if you don't know where Cairns is it is in Australia and part of the north queensland region. I am not saying that this is going to be a happening thing! it might be or it might not be if it is it will cost/it might not depend on what it is going to be (comp/jam/get together PLEASE tell me what you would prefer) if it does cost it will cost at least $10/$15 I will be releasing pics of the skateparks so tell me what skatepark you would prefer when the photo's are up. Anyway, yeahh I might come, depending on who is coming and all that shit.

And also with the sponsors, don't rely on people to go get them for you, go around shops, ask, send e mails (link to one of coedies videos or something), make phone calls etc.

But most of all dude, PLAN EARLY!

Thanks for advice i'm tryin to plan thing is with this park i really want a hole lota people to come to is like a park that you can't reserve and then i was thinkin of my closest park but its to small and this one thats kinda close to me has got heaps good diff. stuff but the transitions on the banks are just fukin YUK! i'll try to promote more to get more people to come.
Another problem is that theres only a couple of scooterers in our area that i know of unless i can get some sort of promotion up on the tablelands.
Also with the sponsors we dont have any scooter shops in cairns which really sucks ass so i dont think someplace like manly blades would wanna sponsor a comp all the way on the other side of AUS.

Manly Blades, BMX shops, razor and SR are usually good places to ask around.

And yes, it is possible to rent out PUBLIC parks (owned by the council) do a bit of research. E-mail your local council about booking a skatepark for the day.

fuk yeah ill come but as derek said earlier plan and u dont NEED sponsors the kuraby comp went just fine with out them woop woop

And so who saw the park awesome ai [im proud of cairns council]
and derek i could try bookin it but in cairns as i said in other threads we are on the lowest part of the park chain and our park is to big to reserve coz every day theres bout a hundred ppl or more ask Sean jackson

naaa im not im organisin it at a diff park its called "Trinity skatepark"
its got heaps good different variation hopefully later on in thread get pics up
and no josh where not doing town park i said coz its to hard to organise when at trinity not many people go there
