alright
i'm still trying to get a a comp going in AZ so i have a list of parks and pictures of them and you tell me what park you would want the comp at and ill give it a week then ill contact whatever park and if i get a No then ill move to the next park. The date might be sometime in Feburary or March. but anyways here you go

Sponsors so far: iScoot

Apache Junction
ok this park is almost in the middle of no where its about 20 mins west of mesa i think it depends where you are.
but i think they probably will allow a scooter comp, they've had other skateboard comps before so yeah.

these photos are ok i guess it doesnt show all of the park
but the park has a lot of gaps and stuff.
if you want more pictures look up Apache Junction skatepark on google.

Goodyear skatepark
Ok weird story with this park, when it opened bikes were allowed but a month later they were banned for gay reasons.
But on there website it says NO bikes and i couldnt find anything esle that said no scooters. so i guess they might have a scooter comp. they've had one or two skate comps. You have to wear helmets.

if you want more photos search Goodyear, AZ skatepark

Scottsdale Mcdowell skatepark
this park is mostly a street plaza theres one huge bowl. but its still super fun becasue the banked hips and 3 wall and other stuff.
i really dont know if they will have one, maybe, maybe not, i cant use the excuse it will bring more ppl to the city because scottsdale is like the hollywood of AZ

You already asked Tempe and they said no, and you aren't even allowed to scooter at Goodyear, so both of those are pretty much out the picture. And Goodyear is way out there too.

Goodyear doesnt allow bikes, and on there website it doesnt say no scooters so ill give them a shot and the tempe lady made a gay reason why she said no and blew me off, ill go to city conceil because they've allowed comps before for skaters

Hi Shelby -

My name is Paul Bernardo. I oversee the staff team responsible for programs/events at the X-Court. Christine Frederickson forwarded your e-mail to me.

As you probably know, the X-Court just opened on October 6th, so things have been VERY hectic there. We are working together with Action Park Alliance (APA), the company that manages the proshop/concessions on-site. The City of Glendale owns both the proshop and the X-Court. APA leases and operates the proshop and will also be doing some programs/events as well.

This is our first venture with this type of relationship in operating our skate/bmx facilities. We have an update/coordinating meeting tentatively scheduled for later this month. At that time, I will bring forward your idea for a scooter competition. THANKS for sending me the info. and for the video clip. Nice move on the jump box!

In the interim, please be patient while we work through the first month at the X-Court. I will get back to you ASAP after the meeting (let's say the first week of November) to let you know how things went. I think a scooter competition has a lot of potential especially with the out of state interest and potential sponsors already lined up.

Look forward to "talking" to you again in a few weeks.

paul
