I really wish I had used kneepads from the start, and elbow pads haha. I have this huge thing on my elbow that's been there for years and every time I hit it it gets even bigger.

I've developed some knee disorder too which I got prescribed some 800mg ibuprofen for it. that's equivalent to 4 advil. idk, my knee just absolutely kills when i ride if i don't use it, and if i hit it in a sesh or something I'm just doneee.

If I could do it all over again, I would've used at least knee pads from the start. My knee hurts alllll the time not just when riding now, so it was pretty dumb not to just get over what people think and wear them.

Baby's don't know how to walk/run. You do. Use that instead of bitching onto your knees.
One question, and i mean no offense.
On a scooter, how high have you gotten off the ground.
Jumping off something, airing, whatever?

I'd MUCH rather take a 9 foot bail to knee pads and slide out, than to my ankles.

HOWEVER on street yeah; pads are just gay on street. including helmets.

knee pads will ruin you knees
cause all the impact goes to them and it trains you to slide on your knees and get impact.
and alex boosstsss some hips at pecos the other day.
180'd some big stairs
turn downed an 8.
fakie hopped a fatty ass 3.
and he did this wallride to 180 out that was atleast 4-5 maybe even 6 feet high to flat. off of a really high bench.
so rob. you sir. got owned.

im not quite there yet, and its only on my knee, but i have a massively swollen bump on my knee that will never go away and cannot be drained. my knee used to hurt constantly but it got better, back when it did hurt i always wore kneepads. i wish i wore kneepads from the start too cause im probably gonna get knee problems at like 25

alex no offense but you dont really go like rediculously big(and neither do i really) so i dont see how you could know what the right time is to wear kneepads, cause trust me when your uncontrollably falling from a 5 foot air your gonna want kneepads. i still dont wear them though lol

Well maybe I'm just good at getting out of sticky situations cause of my Parkour background, I usually don't find it that hard to bail and make it alright. And this includes bailing backwards down stairsets.

Thanks Tyler, good guy.

Whatever, arguing with tyler isn't even worth the time.

Kneepads are good. Although i normally tuck and roll anyway.

well, i REALLY just started riding last year, but mostly for transportation since i was around 5 or 6. and ive hit my knee on the bar clamp (im not even close to being good enough to need one pieces, and i don't get something i don't need to "look cool", but bmx grips, or hockey taped foams, griptape, and bolted foldys are a must) and today i ripped my knee open on the clamp, so i think ill probably ride with a pad on my left knee from now on. and helmets have saved my life snowboarding about 6 times, so i wear them for boarding, and scootering now........

I love knee pads sooooo much.
I have ozgoodslaughters disease in both my knees from baseball, and it just kills when I ride.
Plus, they give you the confidence to push your limits because you have this easy way of falling without getting hurt.
I cut the shell parts of my knee pads though, there just like cm thick pads.
I only wear them on park, pads/helmets are just gay on street.
